Limkokwing University of Creative Technology (LUCT) has admitted a number of professionals to study for their Associate Degrees in various fields.

Among these professionals are 17 police officers who are studying under a programme, launched in partnership with the National Commissioner of Police Isaac Magagula.
The university management at a press briefing said they were enrolled under the first of many programmes to be launched for the working class.
“We are proud to announce that Limkokwing has introduced the first part time programmes which will see the working class joining our institution. The success of this launch of part time programmes is as a result of a good relationship our university has with the office of the national commissioner of police. The first of many programmes is the Associate Degree in Information Communication Technology. This again has been as a result of the great work initially done by our two students in the first cohort that did their internship with the police.”
These figures were confirmed by Police Information and Communications Officer Assistant Superintendent Khulani Mamba yesterday. It is worth noting, however, that the police officers are not the only officers from the security forces that have been enrolled in the university.
Officers from His Majesty’s Correctional Services (HMCS) have also been enrolled at Limkokwing.
One police officer graduated along with the 656 graduates from the class of 2015.
The university also awarded eight scholarships to the local media houses in the country, which has seen professionals enrolling at the university this academic year. The scholarships were given to the Swazi Observer, Times of Swaziland, Swaziland Television Authority and the Swaziland Broadcasting and Information Services (SBIS).
